Exchange and Return Policy

At Security Distributors Inc., we’re committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with our security products. If you need to exchange or return an item, we’ve made the process as straightforward as possible. Please review our policy below for full details.

Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges:

  • Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery.
  • Products must be in new and unused condition, with all original packaging, accessories, and manuals included.
  • Customized, special-order items, or items marked as non-returnable cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are defective.

Defective or Damaged Items:

  • If you receive a defective or damaged product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery to arrange for an exchange or refund. We will cover all shipping costs for defective or damaged items.
  • We may require photos or additional documentation of the defect or damage for processing.

Return Process:

  1. Contact Us: Reach out to our customer service team to initiate your return or exchange. You’ll receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and detailed return instructions.
  2. Package Your Item: Securely pack the item in its original packaging, including all components. Clearly label the package with the RMA number provided.
  3. Ship the Item: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we made an error with your order. We recommend using a trackable shipping method for your protection.
  4. Processing: Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your exchange, refund, or store credit within 5-7 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Restocking Fee:

  • A 15% restocking fee may apply to returned items that are not defective, damaged, or the result of our error. This fee helps cover the costs of processing and restocking the item.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Custom-built products
  • Opened software or licenses
  • Items that have been installed or show signs of use

Refunds:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original form of payment within 5-7 business days after receiving the returned item.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.
